Variety in Life & your Diet can really make you feel better.
Changing things up and getting out of the same old routine can really lift your spirits. Recently I've been testing out some new recipes for a project I'm working on and discovering new ingredients has been great for my palate and my stomach. Exploring new foods for my taste buds and adding in more yummy, delicious real foods.
Most of us get stuck eating the same foods week after week and wonder why we reach for junk food. If you find yourself in a food rut, challenge yourself to try a new food or recipe. Even if you never make it again, at least you gave it a shot and opened your mind to a different idea.
Tips on how to add more variety into you diet:
pick a new fruit or vegetable up in the produce section. (maybe that jicama root near the bananas that looks brown and scary)
open up a cookbook or new recipe and explore
ask your friends..what are you eating?
listen to cravings
check out restaurant menus for inspiration
This week I encourage you to add in more real food and try a new recipe. Taking charge of your health and eating more home cooked food is so much better for your budget and your health.
