All this conflicting health information out there...are you scratching your head and wondering what to eat?!
It's no wonder people have a hard time figuring out what works. Eating well and getting healthier doesn't have to be so hard. Today let's talk about simple baby steps to a healthier you.
Give them a try this week and see how you feel. Focusing on adding in more healthy choices and not taking anything out. Add in more good. Simple, right? You can do this.
Eat real food.
Drink more water.
Starting with just those two simple things can make you feel so much better.
How to add in more real food
Create a fruit bowl. My fruit bowl is always staring at me. It holds an honored place on our counter and reminds me everyday to come and visit. Seeing all those beautiful colors makes snacking easy and healthy.
In the fridge... prepare food ahead.
I try to wash and chop up fresh vegetables to have real food choices ready to go in the fridge. Raw veggie sticks and hummus are a perfect snack while making dinner or to throw in your bag on your way out the door. Already washed leafy greens makes that side salad with dinner take only minutes to pull together.
Lately I've been buying the pre portioned single serving hummus cups. They're wonderful to travel with and easy to pack for work.
I know I sound like a broken record, but water is so important for a healthy body. It makes everything work better and helps prevent injury. Find a fun app on your phone and start tracking your water intake. You might think you're drinking enough, but when you really track it the truth comes out.
Carry water with you everywhere and chug it down. This is such a simple step that can make a huge difference in your health and really shows up on your face and skin. And everyone wants to look their best.
Wishing you all a great week. Make healthy choices and keep it simple.
