We're lucky enough to live close to the ocean, and summer always brings us down to the beach. On our last trip down, we had a front row seat to some amzing people watching. It's always fun to see what people are eating and pulling out of their coolers. I saw lots of sodas, chips, candies and alcohol. I laughed, because I've been there myself and could still cave for a few good salty, potato chips from time to time. And back during my teaching days Diet Coke and I were the best of friends. Many moons ago.
However, now years later I'm so grateful for all that I have learned and love fueling my body with real foods. I proudly pulled out my avocado kale salad, fruit, nuts and water and smiled to myself thinking who else is eating this on the Jersey Shore?
How to Fuel your Body to be it's Best
We all know cars run better with the right fuel, not suprising we're the same. Humans need the right foods to make us feel great, run better and maintain a healthy body weight.
Providing our bodies with plenty of sleep, water and mostly a whole food, plant based diet will provide you with the energy it takes to power through your toughest days. Now those are not the only things needed to be happy and healthy, but that's a wonderful place to start to focus your attention.
