Recently I had the opportunity to try something new and challenging. I went into this with an open heart and excited to take on the job. Knowing that I'd do my best and be of service to the company that trusted me with their special project.
To be completely honest at times I struggled. I didn't always have a clear understanding of what they wanted and how quickly they needed it. I felt like I was being thrown into something and asked to figure it all out on my own. However, as the week moved along, it all started to make more sense. Soon I found my groove, used my head and just kept going. Making sure to be present, smile, breathe and be grateful. Stretching and growing my skills and being patient with myself as I navigate new waters.
Stretching yourself outside of what you're used to can be terrifying and exciting. Doing something that scares you can be so rewarding and healthy for you. Like you've grabbed hold of life and are truly living day to day. Not just existing.
This week I challenge you to stretch yourself and try something new. Accept the new-ness of the situation and do it anyway. You never know what will happen and it's ok to make mistakes and not like something.
